Dude, that's enough. This is just a situation of your word versus his. Your claims of the false sponsorship are no more valid than your consideration of his claims of a real one. Furthermore. it's not your job to call him out on it just because you know someone who has something to do with team (if that's even the truth). If the team wants to do something about it, they'll contact him personally and discuss matters privately.
