CHAMPIONSHIPS

Drivers, Privateers and Teams are supported within this event. Teams are formed by no less than two and no more than three drivers. The two top scoring drivers will count towards your teams points.

At the end of the regular series there will be an overall champion crowned.

LIVERY

All participants are required to have the mandatory graphics on their car for this series. To learn more about this and how to receive them, CLICK HERE.

QUALIFYING

Qualifying rooms will open at 7:45pm EST and BST where all drivers will then receive an invite from their ROOM HOST. Qualifying will take place at 8:00pm EST and BST, where you will have 6 laps to set your time, the fastest will then contribute to form the grid. When the 6th lap is completed, pull over, stop and wait for the host to give instructions as the 7th lap is not a qualifying lap. Any drivers that lag out or leave the session will have their best time used as displayed by the results screen. However, if a qualifying lap wasn't completed a new qualifying session will be started.

RACE

Race rooms will open once Qualifying is completed and the times are collected and ordered. Please be patient as this process can take between 10 and 15 minutes to complete, but once finalized, all drivers will receive an invite from a selected room host. If you do not receive an invite within 30 minutes, please get in contact with the Clerk of Course via Party Chat and he will resolve the situation.

The races will begin with a Pace Lap for the standing grid start on Lap 2, and will be controlled by the Pole Sitter. The racing grid will be organized with the odd placed drivers on the inside in relation to Turn 1, and the even placed drivers on the outside. He will also control the start of the race. The Pole Sitter will give a time using the Total time counter to indicate the start, which will be aprroximatly 10-20 seconds after the standing grid is all set. Race 1 grid will be set by qualifying times, while race 2 will be a full field reversal of the finishing order of race 1. Races will be roughly 20-25 minutes in length.

-There is no mandatory pit stop for the race.

RESTARTS AND LAGOUTS

A restart will only take place if the following happens:
- The lobby has been setup wrong
- Drivers lag out within their first lap. In the event that 1 player only lags out, he will then start at the back of the grid. If more than one driver lags out, the race will restart as the original qualifying results
- Racing collision involving 3 or more cars within the first lap
- Large lag related crash within the first lap

POINTS

Image

For points, we wanted to take a nice broad point range that could keep 3 full lobbies in the hunt for earning standings relevant points. Beyond the 3rd lobby (Lobby D and below), the points are repeated for each lobby. The thought is that past 45th place, drivers are focusing on consistency, networking, and experience racing. While 1st place in Lobby G would be worth the same as 1st place in Lobby D, the goals are the same, since they are not directly competing for notable standing in the driver or team championship. Participation and consistency count for a lot in organized racing, and that's exactly what we hope this point structure will do. For 1st through 45th placements, there's a limited distribution that follows a point distribution similar to FIA, but is much more broad (45 places rather than 10), and awards the winner 100 points rather than 25.

PRIZES

Work In Progress

LAGOUTS AND QUITS

If you do not finish a race for some reason, you will be classified as a retirement and your finishing position will be determined by the 75% rule, if you retire before 75% race completion, you will receive last placed points overall with the lap you retired on determining your position among other drivers of a similar situation. However, if you retire after 75% race completion, you will receive last placed points for your lobby.

CONNECTION ISSUES

If you cannot connect to your race room, you will receive last placed points for your qualifying room.

CLERK OF COURSE

If you have any questions regarding any aspect of the series, get in contact with the Clerk of Course. He/They are available and will be able to answer your question. PM them on the forum or send them a message on XBL.

FINAL SUGGESTIONS

TURN events are catered for fun, clean, competitive racing and all skill levels are welcomed to participate but all we ask is that you are committed to the event. This means, if you sign up an event, you should complete it. If you are not committed, then TURN isn't for you. Please remember that communication is vital when participating. No one's race should ever be ruined by someone else's mistake.

This series is run in accordance to both these series rules and the 2016 Code of Conduct, with any punishable offences relating to on and off track behaviour being brought before the Racing Stewards and the Penalty Rules, so please read through them and understand what is expected of you.
